- 3-4 onions
- 1/4 cup peas
- 2 tomatoes
- 3-4 green chillies
- 3-4 spoon milk
- as needed Thick hund curd
- to taste Salt
- Pinch saffron
- ad Kolkata Water for rice
- as needed Oil
Instructions to make to make Dum Biryani
- Take a bowl add thick curd, Dhania powder, jeera powder, green chillies, Garam masala powder, red chilli powder, ginger garlic paste, turmeric, salt, chopped mint, coriander, veggies of your choice, paneer mix well n leave it to marinate for 30 mnts
- Boil it rice almost cooked and keep seperately.
- Then deep fry onions n keep aside and soak saffron in hot milk and keep aside.
- Cut all veggies whatever we want to add and keep separately.
- Take a cooker add equal proportions of oil or ghee, again add whole Garam masala,1 chopped onion, 1 tomato, onion paste(1 onion) ginger garlic paste(ginger 1inch garlic 8 pods) mix well n fry, then add marinated veggies n fry till veggies gets soft.
- Next take out half portion of masala n leave half the portion in cooker, that Vil be the first layer, then add a layer of cooked rice, then spread fried onions add 1.spoon of saffron milk, then add 2nd layer of masala again rice, likewise do layers, close the lid n cook for 15 mnts again in low flame.
