  16. 1/3 tsp cumin seeds
  17. 10 curry leaves
  18. 3 green chillies cut length wise
  19. 1 Tbsp sesame seeds
  20. 1 tsp lemon juice
  21. 2 tsp sugar powder
  22. 1/2 cup water

Steps to make to make Urad Dal Dhokla

  1. Soak dal and methi seeds for 5 hours.
  2. Grind to a thick batter.
  3. Mix rice powder and curd, whisk well.
  4. Add turmeric powder,
    black pepper, chili flakes, and salt. Whisk well again with no lumps.
  5. Add soda and s few drops of water to activate soda. Transfer the batter to a greased container.
  6. To the boiling water in a steamer keep a standard. Place the container with batter.
  7. When cools down remove the urad dal dhokla from the container, cut it into pieces.
  8. For tempering heat oil in a tadka pan. Add cumin and mustard seeds and allow them to crackle.
  9. Add curry leaves, green chilies, hing, and sesame seeds. Cover the pan as sesame seeds will splutter.
  10. Add water salt, sugar and allow to boil.

    Bring down and add lemon juice. Sprinkle the tasks on dhokla and serve with green chutney.
